Job Overview:
The Manager, Accounting is responsible for independently performing a wide range of complex financial reporting and financial analysis as related to the Clinic and assists the Director of Finance with all duties related to Finance. Primary responsibilities include supervision of accounts payable, payroll, miscellaneous accounts receivable, and record keeping of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Works directly with the President, Director of Finance, Vice Presidents, Directors and Managers to render assistance in matters of a financial nature.
Duties:
Responsible for organization's accounts payable processes, which include review of all invoices entered into the general ledger system, printing weekly checks for payment of invoices, and scanning copies of each check for internal record keeping.
Responsible for maintaining accurate records of monthly expense accrual for month-end financial statements.
Responsible for communication with Purchasing department to ensure accurate record keeping of orders that are placed, waiting on delivery, received, and paid.
Works with the Purchasing department to maintain an accurate inventory record.
Review bi-weekly payroll for completeness and accuracy.
Ensure all quarterly and annual payroll tax filings are completed.
Ensure annual employee W2 forms and vendor 1099 forms are filed and distributed timely.
Responsible for organization's miscellaneous accounts receivable processes, which include monthly rent invoices to customers, invoicing to government agencies for grants, and other miscellaneous invoices as needed.
Assists with coordinating external reporting requirements, including financial statement audit, retirement plan audit, Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, form 990 tax return, and federal financial status report.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts and document business transactions.
Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements.
Reviews refund requests and assists with the preparation of refunds.
Reviews balance sheet reconciliation schedules and journal entries
Researches accounting guidance and prepares recommendations based on research.
Prepares and assists with the preparation of financial analyses/proformas for management as needed.
Assist with establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls to protect assets.
