Our team is looking for a leader to support our team of Naviance Account Managers and build strategic, consultative relationships with our clients. We're looking for an EdTech enthusiast to take on the role of Regional Sales Manager (RSM)! You'll coach and develop an ambitious team of 5 to 8 account managers that lead Hobsons' K-12 portfolio of products focused on college and career readiness.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities :

  • Lead and mentor a team of Hobsons K-12 account management staff, including territory development and execution

  • Coach, assigns tasks, provide direction, resolve client and employee problems and enforce policies, procedures, and work standards

  • Lead and serve as the executive sponsor for your team's opportunities to maximize revenue potential

  • Conduct sales calls and present sales demonstrations with the team to explain the benefits and features of Hobsons' products to clients including negotiating and closing contracts

  • Provide weekly reports on the status of the business to the sales leadership group. This will include forecast reports, personnel reports as well as qualitative overviews of the health and wealth of the Manager's regional business

  • Source, recruit, interview and hire top-quality candidates in an ongoing fashion throughout the course of the calendar year

  • Stay well informed about current industry trends through constant reading, research, and general due diligence and as a result be able to talk informatively about the education industry as well as the education technology solutions industries

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Technology related area required; advanced degree preferred

  • 7+ years in customer success, new business, enterprise software or solution-selling in a competitive market with a 2-6 month sales cycle

  • Some experience and/or exposure to selling methodology

  • 2+ years of managing quota-bearing reps managing a client portfolio with 90%+ renewal rate and 20% upsell yearly

  • Proven track record of providing leadership to an enterprise solutions sales force with a history of delivering exceptional results

  • Ability to motivate and inspire a diverse sales force with experience recruiting and retaining high-quality enterprise-class professionals

  • Ability to travel up to 35%

  • Education based sales experience is preferred

  • Creative, solutions-oriented and problem solver (internally & externally)

  • Ability to think out of the box and come up with innovative and thought-provoking ideas that solve real-life problems is mission critical

  • Ability to quickly gain knowledge of the company's business model, products, services, practices and client environments

  • Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, human relations, presentation and organizational skills

  • High energy, work ethic, and stamina to perform consistently and at a high level
