Typically manages a section or group in a division or department. Manages the activities of individual contributors who perform similar roles.

May lead cross-functional or project teams. Frequently interacts with customers and peer groups at management levels. Has financial impact within the scope of immediate activities. Develops and implements programs/solutions to improve processes, reduce costs and cycle time, and improve customer service.

Bachelors degree and six years of experience or a master's degree with four years of experience, and/or equivalent education and experience. Previous supervisory experience required. Must have knowledge of business practices and be able to balance competing interests.

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy and tact as the exchange of information is a significant part of the job.

The job must be able to exchange ideas and information in a concise and logical way, and be sensitive to audience diversity. Tact and basic politeness is required.

  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges

  • Exercises judgment within defined policies or procedures.

Nature of Impact: Ensures the quality of the tasks/services provided by self and others.

  • The job has a direct impact on the business through their responsibility for the quality of the tasks performed or services provided. The tasks/services involved are closely related to the work of others and thus the quality and timeliness of the service provided and work produced will have an impact on the effectiveness of the team.
