Individual serves as a Management & Program Assistant providing experienced and advanced knowledge in planning and performing administrative assignments in support of multiple programs and day-to-day operations of the office to which assigned to Technical Operations, WWQ33-ENA, Kenai SSC in Kenai Alaska.

Serves as a Management & Program Assistant providing experienced and advanced knowledge in planning and performs a combination of routine, multiple, and varying assignments in support of supervisors, managers, and other employees in day-to-day operations: which may include several of the following areas: fiscal management, travel, management information systems, contract administration, property management, procurements, and overall office management. Plans, develops, monitors, and executes actions required to manage the offices

administrative functions.

Typical specialized assignments may include the following: prepares and manages correspondence; compiles, tracks, and analyzes information for a wide variety of programs: enters and tracks budget expenditures; purchases and inventory: establishes, organizes and manages files, documents, and records, provides advanced computer assistance, schedules meetings; manages time and attendance, provides written or oral explanations of organizational policies, coordinates the implementation of new office policies and systems, maintains calendars and travel records. Interprets guidelines, compiles and consolidates information, and prepares reports for assigned programs.

Provides management assistance on the operations of assigned programs and the inte1Telationships of such programs. Broad understanding of how administrative, financial, and other business support assignments contribute to the activities of the organizational unit. Performs various analytical studies, such as space management, travel administration, overtime usage trends, leave usage, etc., with limited review by a higher level or more experienced employee.

Contacts are typically internal and external to ATO, including Service Centers, and FAA headquarters. Internal contacts frequently involve managers and employees from more than one organizational unit to share information, coordinate efforts, and/or discuss status of assignments. External customers are typically with customers and other parties on routine matters that relate to the work being performed. Work is reviewed periodically, typically through status reports and at completion to ensure timeliness, quality, policy compliance and alignment with requirements of projects and/or work activities. Work activities support multiple projects/programs and contribute to the objectives of one or more organization units.

Travel Required

Occasional travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis. The travel may be for training or other work-related duties.

To qualify at the FV-344-F pay band (equivalent to the FG/GS-9/10), you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to FV-E (FG/GS 7-8). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.

Specialized experience may include but not limited to: Skills in planning and managing the office's daily administrative functions, maintaining automated systems to record, reconcile, validate, and track data; identifying and resolving discrepancies; performing various analytical studies; interpreting and providing guidance; and performing multiple and varying assignments in the areas of financial support, personnel matters, personal property, and travel administration.

Education cannot be substituted for experience at the FV-F Level.
