This position is located in the Government Accountability Office (GAO), Learning Center (LC), Operations Team. The Learning Center offers courses, job aids, learning resources, coaching, mentoring, and team development services. This role will support virtual learning and other LC operations such as assisting with contract management, tracking/analyzing resource usage, developing SOPs and standard processes, and supporting virtual conversion and delivery efforts.

  • Collaborates on numerous routine and ad hoc projects/programs/processes requiring the ability to identify issues and concerns, develop a process to evaluate a wide variety of situations, and reporting conclusions and recommendations.

  • Serves as a liaison to teams tasked with researching, analyzing, and reporting on administrative issues and applying a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, and improve administrative and operational programs.

  • Develops spreadsheets and/or databases and prepares summaries and reports to track the adjunct faculty program, LC business analytics and metrics, budget formulation and execution, and other LC operational efforts. Prepares quarterly and other reports for LC management/staff and other senior GAO officials.

  • Analyzes and identifies data to determine functional requirements and technical aspects of customer needs for delivering training courses products and services that meet internal and external LC customer requirements.

  • Assists customers and stakeholders with questions regarding the organization's products, services, and operations; providing operational guidance to LC's Directors, course/program managers, instructional designers/developers, adjunct faculty, contractors and consultants; planning and coordinating special events; coordinating a variety of needed services for LC and serving as the LC POC/Liaison for various systems, programs and units; and performing the role of quality assurance manager, as needed.

Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower band level, equivalent to the PT-l, PE-l, GS-11 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience applying analytical methods and techniques to improve administrative operation; compiling and analyzing data to present findings and recommendations through reports and/or presentations; and responding to inquiries regarding organizational products, services, and operations.
