The primary purpose of the Management Investigator Coordinator is to conduct and document investigations and implement plans of actions related to allegations of resident rights violations; implementation of quality initiatives, system issues and processes; administrative issues including but not limited to job performance, insubordination and disharmony in the workplace.   All system and process recommendations will be monitored by the department for maintenance.

In conjunction to the facility investigatory duties, the Management Investigator Coordinator will participate in quality improvement initiatives such internal auditing, safety event investigations, video camera surveillance and other duties as designated by the Center Director, Programming Director and Director of Standards Management.   The Management Investigator Coordinator may also participate in related hearing and grievance cases as a result of completed investigations and provide support to Health Care Personnel Registry conducting any follow up investigations.

The Management Investigator Coordinator will aid the Supervisor in maintaining departmental tracking report for completion of all management, administrative and systems review investigations and ensure monitoring of outcomes from system review investigations are implemented consistently across the facility.

Work Location: Standards Management

Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM/ Monday-Friday, occasional on-call

Qualified candidates must document on the application that they clearly possess all of the following:

  • Possesses a sound knowledge base of state and federal regulations, statues and standards governing operation and accreditation of ICF-IID facilities.

  • Knowledge and experience with investigative and interviewing techniques and procedures.

  • Ability to assess risks and potential risks utilizing the principles and tools of Risk Management.

  • Is skilled in gathering information and communicating effectively.

  • Understands and exercises the necessity for diplomacy and professionalism in all interactions.

  • Is appropriately analytical in review of data and investigatory information.

  • Possesses a high level of written and verbal comprehension and effective communication.

  • Possesses both deductive and inductive reasoning abilities and problem sensitivity.

  • Working knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Management Preferences:

  • Prefer experience in the Investigation process, technical writing, and small group presentation along with participation in a Quality Improvement program.

  • Prefer knowledge and experience with IID/ICF services and work in a large residential setting serving those with IDD, Autism, and people who are dually diagnosed.

  • Prefer knowledge of and/or experience with PSO and video camera surveillance

  • Prefer experience in the Investigation process, management of Quality Improvement programs, knowledge of policies and procedures at the facility, and with PSO and video surveillance.

Physical Requirements:

(ADA)  Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Other: Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Fingering, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, Hearing, Repetitive Motions, Visual Acuity, Inside and Outside Activities.

Master's degree in psychology, social work, education, health, business administration or related human service field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in professional level treatment programming for the applicable client population;

or

Bachelor's degree in one of the fields listed above from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience as indicated above; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
