Management Interns participate in an accelerated 9-week program during the summer months. Interns will gain useful knowledge about the transportation industry and about Dayton Freight's policies, procedures and philosophies. Interns contribute to the success of the Service Center by learning and understanding each position's function and contribution to the overall mission of Dayton Freight. Individuals who successfully complete this program will be considered for the Dayton Freight Management Training Program upon achievement of their degree.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college

  • Basic math skills

  • Fluent in English

Interns will represent the Lottery in a positive, professional manner; educate citizens of WI about the Lottery's mission to provide property tax relief; set up and break down events; conduct office work, e.g. respond to questions or requests, answer calls from the Player Hotline; assist with social media by developing monthly social media giveaways, track social engagement and make graphics to post on Lottery social media pages. Special Notes: A comprehensive background check and a tax compliance check will be conducted on qualified candidate before offer of hire. A valid driver's license is required and applicant must be able to physically lift up to 40 pounds; to load, unload, set up, and take down lottery display booths and supplies with or without an accommodation. Qualifications: Skills required: Public relations/special event planning and staffing experience or Marketing; verbal and written communication skills. Program requirements for students: Junior year status or beyond (4 year college students); Second year technical college students; minimum of a 2.5 GPA; Wisconsin resident or attending school in Wisconsin; A valid driver's license, if from out of state, must provide driving record; must be able to physically lift up to 40 pounds.
