SALARY: $38,630.00 - $69,791.00 Annually
CLASS DESCRIPTION
The person hired in this position will support several data processing processes within the Youth Services division and MOED. Much of the work is of a technical and complex nature and allows the leadership in the division to make decisions about operations and service needs. Data collected will allow us to keep track of customer activity and preferences. Anyone hired in this position will need to exercise independent judgement in making decisions and carrying out day-to-day task. This person will report directly to the MIS Manager and work with a team of dedicated individuals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Work in collaboration with the MIS Manager and staff to deliver quality services to funded providers.
Serve as the primary point of contact/liaison for assigned providers to collect eligibility documentation, registration, credentials and other required MWE paperwork of participants for the WIOA program.
Examines and verifies intake, case notes, records and documents submitted by assigned provider.
Enters customer data, employment, credential and other required Maryland Workforce Exchange (MWE) information.
Creates and prepares automated and manual reports using various tracking systems including statistical data and detailing the status of participants.
Ability to review, compare, and project how current data can impact required state and federal performance measures; resolve any data discrepancies in the MWE reporting system.
Compile necessary data and back-up documentation for state and federal audits
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, familiarity with Workday system and or data sites that highlight industry employment and or certification trends.
Familiarity with finances, payroll processing, and generating timesheets.
Interact with City of Baltimore agencies as needed (especially Central Payroll) to resolve payroll issues for staff and or youth program participants especially for YouthWorks.
Serve as a liaison with U.S. Bank paycards and resolve data inquires as needed.
Develop and generate reports that encompass demographics, pay periods, payment and budget account numbers.
Support Youth Services Programs listed in the document.
Perform other duties as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Have an associate of arts degree from an accredited college or university.
AND
EXPERIENCE: Have 2-4 years of experience in data entry and analyzing.
OR
NOTES(EQUIVALENCIES): Have any equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Flexibility with limited potential weekend work hours.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of workforce development policy trends and issues especially for young adults.
Verbal and written communication skills; presentation skills to conduct workshops if needed.
Solid organizational skills; execute work assignments on time in specified format.
Capable of learning and using designated Agency and/or City/State software programs as required.
Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, including youth, staff, service providers, businesses, and other external partners.
Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to use Microsoft 365 applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
