The Assistant Store Operation Specialist will be responsible for directing the overall operation of the restaurant, from hiring and overseeing a team of employees that deliver exceptional guest service to managing the financial performance of the store.

As the day-to-day operator of the store, the Assistant Store Operation Specialist is expected to:

  • Drive sales and profitability through effective execution of the Company's business plan

  • Create a positive working environment by fostering teamwork among Team Members through effective training, communication and relationship building

  • Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner when dealing with customers, Team Members, and corporate management

  • Act as a role model for other Team Members by adhering to all state and Federal labor and health laws and upholding the policies and standards of performance and conduct that is set by the Company and the Dunkin' brand

  • Work with integrity, honesty and accountability in all situations

Requirements

  • Previous managerial experience preferred but not required

  • Previous fast food/quick service restaurant experience required

  • Top-notch customer service skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent leadership skills

  • Works well under pressure and is able to multi-task

  • Financial literacy and analytical/problem solving skills

  • Access to a vehicle and a valid Driver's License required

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

  • Must submit to a background check

Core responsibilities will include working closely with business managers across multiple categories (including Distribution &amp; Logistics, IT, Facilities, Marketing Print, Marketing Services, FF&amp;E, Packaging and Corporate Services), category reporting (spend, savings, lead times, supplier management) and acting as a conduit to our Shared Services Center in Norwalk, CT.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>As a category leader, you will work directly with business managers to develop, execute, and track detailed category management strategies.</p><p>This will include:</p><ul><li><p>Develop internal client relationships; facilitate communication between client business units, internal stakeholders and suppliers</p></li><li><p>Learn client's culture and adapt to it while maintaining cultural standards of LogicSource</p></li><li><p>Review budgets and regular meetings with stakeholders to develop a sourcing calendar</p></li><li><p>Lead execution of RFPs and other sourcing events. For large sourcing events, you will be able to leverage off-site subject matter experts in LogicSource shared services centers and manage SMEs to deliver projects</p></li><li><p>Act as a subject matter expert in your categories of responsibility, including sourcing and qualification of new suppliers</p></li><li><p>Assist in the coordination of the implementation of LogicSource's OneMarket e-Procurement system</p></li><li><p>Facilitate and lead efforts to move categories into LogicSource's OneMarket e-Procurement system. You will also be tasked with working with suppliers to maintain up to date catalog selection and pricing</p></li><li><p>Participate in value engineering projects to drive technical improvements within your categories</p></li><li><p>Supplier performance monitoring and development</p></li><li><p>Preparation of savings tracking and reporting for client leadership and stakeholder business units</p></li><li><p>Tracking and presentation of project statuses</p></li><li><p>Identify and problem-solve project risks/issues, escalating when necessary to resolve issues affecting our ability to deliver on client expectations</p></li></ul><p>Required Education and Experience:</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience required</p></li><li><p>7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing &amp; procurement of goods and services</p></li><li><p>Ability to operate independently as well as interact with vendors, and internal or client stakeholders at all organizational levels</p></li><li><p>Experience working with corporate teams at all levels from creative to the C-Suite</p></li><li><p>Keen ability to deliver on client expectations, influencing others or escalating as needed to do so.</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to build relationships, work well with people in a constantly changing environment, and gain credibility in areas beyond defined scope of work</p></li><li><p>Customer-focused attitude with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels; Excellent client interfacing skills</p></li><li><p>Ability to understand and manage complicated operational detail and communicate this clearly based on audience (client and/or internal partners)</p></li><li><p>Analytically adept with the ability to interpret complex data for informed decision-making and to assess results</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated success in managing vendors, negotiating and managing high-value contracts</p></li><li><p>Proven technical knowledge across some or all of the following retail procurement categories: Distribution &amp; Logistics,IT,Facilities, Marketing Print, Marketing Services, Store Development, FF&amp;E, Packaging and Corporate Services</p></li><li><p>Proficient in MS Office applications including PowerPoint and Excel/financial analysis and planning.</p></li><li><p>Exposure to demand planning / forecasting</p></li><li><p>Previous experience in a services industry (e.g. professional consulting, BPO, outsourcing) is helpful</p></li><li><p>Experience with e-sourcing software (Oracle, SAP Ariba, Coupa or other cloud-based systems) is a plus</p></li></ul><p>Travel: This may require local travel on occasion.</p><p>Other Duties:</p><p>This Position Description is not an exhaustive list of the duties and responsibilities, and the employee is expected to perform other duties as necessary and assigned.
