Responsible for carrying out functions related to the long-range financial plans, budget plans, and related financial analysis. Carries out the maintenance and continuing development of the financial planning and budgeting systems. Interacts with key stakeholders in carrying out the long-range financial plans and budgets of the health system.
Applies the principles and practices of financial planning, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Researches and analyzes financial data and trends as requested to assist in organizations financial planning.
Prepares long range financial plans and operating budget plans and provides cross-team multi-facility support for internal customers.
Conducts and documents financial analysis projects in the department.
Prepares accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions.
Ensures completeness, accuracy, and integrity of databases, mappings, and reference tables with the financial planning and budgeting systems.
Works with Information Systems and software vendor to resolve system issues.
Manages, updates, and maintains system documentation.
Identifies and carries out requisite system structure changes.
Educates end users of system features, capabilities, and enhancements as they become available.
Work requires sitting at a desk, working on a computer, talking on the telephone, and preparing reports and other statistical data in an office environment. Must be able to stand, walk and travel in personal car to other facilities. Work also requires the carrying of up to 20 pounds of materials (files, projectors, laptops).
Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelors Degree in Health Administration, Business, or Finance required. Minimum 2 to 4 years of related experience preferred.
