Serves as a Management and Program Assistant for the LAX International Field Office.

Applies experience and knowledge to perform administrative assignments for projects/programs; and clerical assignments. Has a broad understanding of how administrative assignments contribute to organizational activities. Responsible for compiling, tracking and analyzing data; providing computer assistance; schedule meetings; prepare correspondence; providing written or oral explanations of organizational policies while coordinating the implementation of new office policies and systems.

Receives visitors and callers. Ascertains the nature of the visit/call and directs individual to the appropriate office/team.

Prepares various reports and composes/prepares routine correspondence such as letters and memorandums. Reviews outgoing correspondence for grammatical and procedural accuracy. May serve as time and attendance point of contact for the office.

Ensures travel authorizations and other travel documents are prepared accurately and comply with regulatory guidelines. Serves as government Funds Certifier purchase card and enters transaction/procurement actions.

Utilizes a variety of software programs to accomplish assignments. Demonstrates considerable independence in planning time and coordinates only as needed with the Office Manager, Frontline Manager and Administrative Officer to prioritize assignments.

Provides files and records management oversight. May provide recommendations to improve work processes. Resolves most problems and work issues without assistance.

Position will be required to gather AVS/AFS international statistical data and reports and participate in analysis utilized in the preparation and issuance of managerial responses to bargaining unit actions.

Work is reviewed periodically, typically through status reports and at completion, to ensure policy compliance and alignment with the requirements of projects and/or work activities.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Travel Required

Occasional travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis. The travel may be for training or other work-related duties.

To qualify for this position at the FV-F, FG/GS-9/10, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-E, FG/GS-7/8 level. Specialized experience may include: using various office automation software systems/programs to create letters/memos, reports, spreadsheets; experience in performing a wide variety of administrative functions with little to no guidance/direction from supervision/management to include records keeping, travel administration, time and attendance management, organizing and managing files and records; scheduling meetings, and other administrative functions in support of an office. Applies experience and knowledge to plan and perform administrative assignments for projects/programs.

There is no education substitution at FV-F level.

The incumbent reports to the Strategic Systems Product Line Director in Raytheon's Space & C2 organization. The role is located in El Segundo, California. The incumbent is responsible for leading program start-up, payload development, Ground System, Mission Processing, operations and Space Vehicle Integration. Organizes and oversees all functional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient execution of program content. This position partners with customers and suppliers to evolve mission capabilities to meet future customer mission needs. Operating with a large degree of independence, this position will also ensure effective work performance across three operating locations with on-budget and on-schedule performance while meeting contractual requirements. This position requires frequent domestic travel.
