The incumbent serves as a Management and Finance Analyst on the Office of Aerospace Medicine's (AAM) Finance Branch. In this capacity, he/she assists the AAM National Budget lead in formulating, justifying, and executing AAM budget.

Provides assistance to management, technical staff and administrative/support personnel regarding the development, execution, and status of local/national budgets, contracting, and other related programs.
Develops, maintains, and recommends improvements to procedures and processes used for formulation, execution, tracking, reconciling, and reporting of financial resource needs/utilization, procurement/contracting, audits, and other related areas.
Ensures compliance with appropriations law and FAA procurement policy.
Assists AAM budget lead with PC&B and staffing projections and reporting to develop funding plans.
Inputs, tracks, runs reports/queries and reconciles financial records in automated systems such as REGIS, DELPHI, PRISM, PURE and OBIEE.
Analyzes financial data in tools such as Microsoft Access and Excel. Identifies trends to enable the national budget lead and management to determine appropriate resource utilization.
Creates financial data visualizations in analytical tools such as Tableau to present information to management in a way that drives fact based decision-making.
Prepares and coordinates procurement requests, modifications to contracts, interagency agreements, and reimbursable agreements in coordination with the FAA Contracting Office. Monitors, tracks and reports on financial status of contracts and agreements.
Works with staff across program offices to develop, coordinate, monitor and report budget status and activities.
Provides a series of executive and management reports related to financial management.

Applicants must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED experience equivalent to the next lower grade/pay band (FG/GS-10/FV-G) in the Federal government. Specialized experience is defined as that which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is typically in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled.
Experience using analytical and visualization tools such as REGIS, DELPHI, Microsoft Excel, or Tableau to research, analyze, and present information, which will serve as input for managerial decisions.
