Job Announcement
Performs advanced-level professional management tasks in analysis and data management related to the operations and services of the Food Access Program. Provides quality assurance of program processes in accordance with federal, state, and county regulations, as well as leading the preparation and participation in audits of these programs. Acts as a subject matter expert for all data systems to include CHAAMPS (Child/Adult Application and Meal Payment System), SEMS (School Aged Child Care and Employee Childcare Center Management System), VDOE SSWS (Virginia Department of Education Signel Sign On Web Systems), Minute Menu, and ChildPlus. Acts as a liaison with other county and state agencies. Provides advanced level financial and budgetary analysis; leads procurement, grant management, and contract administration with multiple vendors to include Virginia Department of Health and Virginia Department of Education. Leads the coordination of the Summer Food Service Program, requiring extensive coordination with state and county agencies. Supervises staff assigned to implement agency initiatives that promote food access. Directs the review and revision of programs for effectiveness in meeting local, state, and federal requirements and for recommending and coordinating revisions in goals, objectives, and program operations to meet new state or federal priorities or initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned to support all appropriate functions for the Food Access Program.

Employment Standards
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in field related to the assigned functional area; Plus four years of professional work experience within the functional area.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check and a Child Protective Services Registry check to the satisfaction of the employer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in social services, human services, or other community-based service delivery setting.
Experience with federal nutrition programs such as USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program, Summer Food Service Program and Fairfax County food resources and access challenges.
Experience analyzing business data and processes related to state and local government systems.
Experience writing/presenting program status reports which include trends and projections based on analysis and synthesis of information in a Human Services database.
Experience with relational database concepts and structures, data extraction, and crystal reports.
Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, to include SharePoint.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Experience as a trainer/mentor.
Ability to explain technical terms and processes to staff and the public using non-technical language.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is generally sedentary in nature. However, incumbent may be required to do some walking, standing, bending, and carrying items up to 25 pounds. Ability to operate keyboard-driven equipment. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Sufficiently mobile to attend meetings at various locations and make presentations to county staff and community. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
