Management Analyst 2

The Position

Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.

The Department of Taxation is recruiting for a Management Analyst II in Carson City. The incumbent will assemble, coordinate, standardize, research, and establish consistency in the publication and dissemination of the various publications of the Division of Local Government Services (DLGS); conduct the personal property portion of the Ratio Study; create and manage databases; web page maintenance for DLGS, including the links to county treasurer and county assessor websites; serve as the liaison to the IT group, handling helpdesk problems and requests; negotiate with software provider(s) like Marshal and Swift annually to purchase M&S products for the Division and for all county assessors; write program documentation and instructions for the use of all programs and software such as the APEX drawing program.

In addition, the incumbent is responsible for following changes in statutes and regulations, as well as litigation regarding land appraisal standards, generating the need for additional publications of the Division, including manuals, property tax abatement reports, and maintenance of abatement appeal files.
