Management Analyst 1

The Position

Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.

The Division of Emergency Management (DEM) is recruiting to fill a Management Analyst 1 position in Carson City. The incumbent tracks and monitors expenditures, maintains budget projections, monitors performance indicators, tracks legislation, reviews reimbursement requests, periodically reviews accounting documents for accuracy and internal control compliance, and maintains division policies and procedures including annual Internal Controls update.

Additionally, the incumbent functions as agency contract manager and also assists the Accountant Technician III with federal financial draws and the ASO I with biennial budget development, creation of work programs, coordination of financial audits, annual single audit reports, and fiscal year end. Supervision of the Administrative Assistant II in purchasing is also required. Activation as a member of the Emergency Operations Center may be necessary in the event of a major emergency.
