Position Summary:TES Staffing is actively searching for a professional Care Specialist for one of Rochester's largest teaching hospitals. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a stable, challenging and growth-centric department.Details:Hours: Monday – Friday 8a to 4:30pPay: $17 - $22.50/hrEssential Job Functions:

Assesses all aspects of patient financial account management for all patient and account work queues to include, Inpatient, Maternity, Newborn, Surgical admissions, ASC, SSTY, Endo cases on a daily basis
Initiates corrections in EPIC on individual encounters and provides concurrent feedback to unit secretaries/Admitting/UM and social work when applicable
Consistently monitors current admissions to ensure eligibility and additional clinical requirements
Represents department and hospital in a professional manner, protecting patient confidentiality at all times
Monitors level of care changes timely to notify UM of possible clinical requests
Attends educational/training programs at the Manager’s direction
Accountable for coordinating all activities necessary to financially secure the defined caseload through the verification process
Verify insurance coverage

Qualifications:

Associate Degree preferred in related discipline (admitting/registration/patient billing/insurance); or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of related experience preferably in a hospital setting, medical office billing or related insurance experience preferred
Require high degree of professionalism and motivation with excellent communication and customer service skills, medical terminology, and knowledge of third-party insurance regulations
Good interpersonal and telephone skills
