IU Health has an outstanding opportunity available for a Mammography Technologist to join our team at our Saxony Hospital location in Fishers.
This position is PRN day shift.
The Mammography Technologist performs quality diagnostic and screening mammographic studies utilizing a knowledge of anatomic positions, equipment maneuverability, and technical factors to determine and produce the projection or position that demonstrates each patient's unique problem, in a timely fashion, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the patient's well-being throughout the examination. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images and treats patients with care and respect.

Basic Life Support certification required.
Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Requires certification in Mammography (M) through the ARRT within 12 months of hire. If performing breast ultrasound, must obtain credential through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS): RDMS(BR); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT): RT(S)(BS), or RT(R)(M)(BS); within 18 months of hire.
Currently meets Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements, preferred.
Requires current license through Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) as a Radiologic Technologist.
Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
Requires ability to learn breast ultrasound procedures, if applicable.
