Seeking a Mammography Technologist- Licensed for our practice who provides clerical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. We want you to apply now.

What you will do in this role:
1.Performs diagnostic and screening x-rays, including mammograms for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
2.Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed.
3.Maintains patient comfort and adheres to proper safety procedures.
4.Contributes to the teamwork, philosophy of the department/office.
5.Adheres to and practices appropriate infection control policies and procedures
6.Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources.
7.Assists in maintaining budgeted supply expense.
8.Responsible for maintaining current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure.
9.Perform other duties as required.
10. Must read and understand and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.
11. Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Values statements.

What Qualifications you will need:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of radiological technology.

  • Current licensure/registry/certification in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and current certification in Mammography.

  • BLS and CPR certification preferred.

Position Summary: Under the general direction of the Radiologists and under the supervision of the Radiology Director and/or Manager and Mammography Team Leader, employee will: * Perform digital mammography, needle localization of the breast and/or stereotactic breast biopsies. * Perform biopsy imaging with Faxitron in the O.R. under the direction of the surgeon. Know how to send images to PACS * Function in direct cooperation with the physician and other radiology personnel. * Work within the guidelines established in the policy and procedure manual and comply with all radiation safety guidelines. * Demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique and practice Standard Precautions. * Perform associated duties, i.e. transporting patients when necessary, assembling all associated paperwork and mammograms (both previous and/or outside exams) to provide to radiologist for dictation and completing necessary documentation in Meditech and PACS. * Ability to lecture on mammography and breast self-examination, when necessary. * Perform DEXA scans on scheduled patients upon completion of cross training on DEXA system * May assist other areas of the Radiology Department and perform other duties as assigned.. Minimum Requirements: Education: Graduate of an accredited program by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs CAAHEP), American Medical Association (AMA) or other accrediting agencies. Licensure/ Kansas Licensure or eligible Certifications: Current registry in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) Current advance registry in Mammography or registry eligible. Certified in BCLS. Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of work related experience in Mammography, including biopsies and stereotactic procedures preferred. Digital training and experience preferred.
