As a Mammography Technologist at Lower Keys Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best - providing quality care to our patients. Requirements:
Requires completion of a formal radiologic technology training program in an A.M.A. approved school
Current Florida License in Radiology & BLS Certification required
Certified in Diagnostic Mammography
Three (3) years of experience in radiology, preferred
About the job:
Operates X-ray equipment and performs various mammography related procedures. Develops and evaluates the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion.
Explains procedures and educates women about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
Responsibilities also include preparing and maintaining records and files, and cleaning and adjusting equipment as needed.
Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager.
Responsible for daily and weekly equipment QC.
Responsible for American College of Radiology Mammography Accreditation and annual State of Florida Inspections.
