Job Description

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the quality of patient care continuously within the mammography department. This role involves producing a variety of high-quality radiographs through proper positioning and technique, performing visual preventative safety inspections, and reporting any dangerous conditions or equipment malfunctions. Additionally, the Technologist will utilize the Radiology Information Computer System for entering orders, practice radiation safety according to department policies, confirm patient identity before procedures, and perform scheduled procedures. Attendance at hospital-wide orientations, meetings, and in-services is required, demonstrating a commitment to flexible work scheduling to ensure patient care.

Hard Skills

• ARRT registered

• Certified in Mammography

• BLS certification

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Work Environment

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

No weekends, No nights!
