Summary

  • Basic Description

  • Accountable for the performance of health care services, applying X-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of breast disease in humans. Accountable for the performance of medical imaging of the breast, which will allow the radiologist to visualize all the breast adequately to give an optimal interpretation. Exercise professional judgment in the performance of services and maintains good medical ethics. Apply good patient care and recognize patient conditions to successfully complete exam.

  • Degree / Education

  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology

  • OR

  • Bachelor degree in Radiologic Technology

  • Level of Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years recent mammography experience. 3 or more years preferred.

  • Bone density experience

  • Lic./Cert./Reg.

  • All licensure must be current/valid and from the state of West Virginia.

  • Radiologic Technologist, Licen

  • Basic Life Support

  • Must be certified within 30 days of hire.
  • AND

  • ARRT Mammography registry

  • Typing/Word Processing skills required for this position

  • Computer Skills required for this position

Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.
