Radiology Partners is one of the largest and fastest growing on-site radiology practices in the US. Our Jacksonville, FL sites are known as Optimal Imaging and include 8 imaging centers in and around Jacksonville. POSITION SUMMARY

Performs Mammo and Bone Density examinations.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to Optimal Imaging values and commitment.

  • Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality adhering to all HIPAA privacy regulations in accordance with Optimal Imaging policies and procedures.

  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Cooperates with all facility healthcare professionals and complies with facility policies/procedures, including all safety policies and regulations.

  • Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; QA/QC; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling to coordinate repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

  • Maintains compliance with regulatory agencies: State, Federal and Local, and Joint Commission, MQSA, FDA and ACR.

  • Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering any/all questions about any aspect of their care.

  • Completes thorough patient screening, appointment confirmations, and requests prior imaging.

  • Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.

  • Maintains production and quality of exams; documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.

  • Addresses problems of patient care as they arise and makes decisions to appropriately resolve the problems.

  • Perform all requested mammography examinations as ordered by the attending physician on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site Radiologist.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related responsibilities as needed.

  • Works other modalities, as instructed, and if cross-trained.

  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current registration ARRT(M)

  • Mammography certification

  • 2 years post-graduate related experience

  • Current BLS certification (or obtained prior to the completion of orientation)
