Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Mammogram Technologist II (0.8 FTE, Days) to work in the Mammography Department at the Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA.
The Mammogram Technologist is responsible a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high volume outpatient setting.
In this position you will:
Function as department resource for operation of technical equipment
Interact with patient, explaining procedure thoroughly and answering any questions as appropriate
Accurately produce mammographic images per protocol, making appropriate technical adjustments for body size and habitus, age, and past medical history
In conjunction with the radiologist, perform all departmental special procedures including (but not limited to) ultrasound guided aspirations and cores, stereotactic core biopsy, galactography, needle localizations, and ultrasound exams (in the absence of an ultrasonographer)
Required qualifications for this position include:
Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Current Washington State Certified Radiologic Technologist-Diagnostic license
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Current ARRT advanced certification in mammography and ARRT Breast Sonography certification required
