Job Description:

Provide clinical product support to all end users and provide on-site guidance and assistance during surgical procedures. Provide training, ongoing in-services, and customer education to assigned account(s). Provide feedback on product design to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Provide surgeons and operating room staff with training and Clinical/Technical support in the operation of the company's robotic arm applications, associated equipment and instruments to insure ideal placement and precision.

  • Use proprietary software to prepare pre-operative CT scans for use in conjunction with the company's Robotic Arm Interactive Orthopedic System/RIO, assists surgeon in preoperative implant planning, implant sizing and positioning.

  • Provide complete reports and associated metrics to management, direct supervisor and company's regulatory department detailing case reviews, services performed and recommendations for product, documentation and methodology improvements

  • Maintains and controls local MAKO consigned equipment, instrument, implant and disposables inventories, processes sales orders and provides forecast input to District Sales Manager.

  • Support company road-show demonstrations and 'Showsite' visits to provide potential customers with opportunity to see product in use and appreciation of clinical value.

  • Train physicians and hospital personnel, including OR staff, radiology and central sterile processing on the use of the RIO System, accessories, disposables and implants.

  • Provide prompt and accurate complaint reports per the requirements of MAKO's quality system.

  • Solve product problems for customers in an expeditious manner.

  • Provide case coverage at unassigned accounts.

  • Support the development and execution of the sales plan as well as grow the utilization of the RIO system by increasing volume with current and potential surgeons.

  • Actively sell the clinical benefits of the products, and build strong, positive relationships with key surgeons and OR staff at targeted accounts.

  • Collaborate with Sales Representatives and Marketing to increase public awareness.

  • Obtain purchase orders for products consumed during surgical procedures and maintains and tracks consigned inventories of company's products.

  • Partner with other cross functional teams in selling the clinical benefits of the company's products, drive continuous account growth and case volume.

POSITION SUMMARY: Maximize the Optical Center's sales, profit and customer service objectives through effective leadership of the optical team. Supervise and perform Optical Center operations including dispensing of eyewear, patient care, setting performance goals and delivering financial performance. Hire, train, coach, and manage performance of Optical Center team. Work in partnership with Doctor of Optometry to drive business results and patient and customer care. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Drive Business * Leads team to execute merchandise, operational and customer service strategies to deliver planned sales, gross margin and EBITDA results for the Optical Center * Models service, patient care and selling techniques to maximize customer satisfaction and achieve business objectives * Acts with urgency to complete tasks and respond to patients and customers * Drives optical initiatives through the team by planning and scheduling appropriately * ·dentifies business building opportunities * Develops business plans and follows up on actions to drive profitable sales Leadership * Hires, develops and trains teammates; manages teammate performance * Identifies key-carriers and schedules appropriately to ensure all key carrying responsibilities are being completed including opening/closing of the center, cash office, committing payroll, and response to alarm calls * Partners with Doctor of Optometry to ensure team and doctor are working together to drive business and patient/customer care results * Ensures the center is compliant with all Company HR policies and practices as well as federal and state laws and regulations * Communicates effectively with team to ensure knowledge of company initiatives, processes and key teammate information * Customer Service and Patient Care * Provides and continuously models customer service with any customer interaction * Provides appropriate direction and feedback to the team related to customer service * Dispenses eyewear according to professional standards * Performs key-carrier tasks, including opening/closing the center, cash office, committing payroll and responding to alarm calls MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: * 3 years of leadership experience or equivalent management experience with strong customer service focus (preferably in an Optical Center or retail setting) * Optician experience desired * Proven ability to lead, coach, and build teammate relationships in a professional environment; must be able to direct and motivate a diverse teammate population * Ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope; must be able to act decisively in implementing solutions * Strong organizational skills for planning work and continuously monitoring progress towards goals * Ability to multi-task and respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment * Ability to analyze financial data and appropriately address any areas of opportunity * Ability to set impactful goals and motivate the team to deliver these results * Must demonstrate a commitment to provide great customer service * General computer knowledge including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS: * Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time * Able to operate various office equipment and tools, (e.g., personal computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, register, etc.) * Proficient at both verbal and written communication * Able to lift 10 to 20 pounds * Able to work normal and/or extended (evenings, nights, and weekends) office hours to meet established deadlines * Able to travel independently to support Company objectives and personal development * Ability to see things in close proximity (reading distance) * Manual dexterity * Must demonstrate physical agility (bending, twisting, reaching and pulling) for handling merchandise Company Overview Shopko Optical, which formerly operated under Shopko Stores Operating Co., LLC, is the trade name of Shoptikal LLC, an affiliate of Monarch Alternative Capital LP.
