The Highlights

The Major Account Executive in Government and Education is a strategic sales position. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring and managing new enterprise commercial customers. The position will focus on showing prospective clients how innovative business solutions from Spectrum Enterprise will help satisfy their growing complex technology and communications needs.

What You Will Do

  • Grow key relationships within named accounts to support the fast-growing business

  • Cultivate opportunities for fiber based services, renewals and upsell potential

  • Navigate government and education procurement processes

  • Develop client-centric solutions for complex services

  • Create and deliver proposals on product benefits, aligning with client needs

  • Implement strategic sales plans

  • Consistently achieve monthly sales and revenue quotas

  • Maintain client database

  • Identify target markets, industries and contacts for product portfolio

  • Qualify new leads and prospects, including submission of ROI analysis

  • Negotiate contracts and conversations with C-Level executives and decision makers

  • Work in conjunction with Account Management, Sales Engineering and Marketing

  • Build network through referrals, prospecting calls, trade shows and peers

  • Attend sales meetings and training sessions

  • Perform other duties as needed

Required Keys for Success

  • 5+ years of telecommunications business-to-business sales experience

  • Experience in state/local government and/or education

  • Skilled in quickly conducting consultative analysis and providing recommendations

  • Proven record as top sales performer and closer, exceeding revenue quota

  • Collaborative team member, able to multitask and manage change

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, ICOMS/CSG or other billing systems

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Visio

  • Strong written and oral English communication skills

How You Will Stand Out from the Crowd

  • 3+ years of industry experience with outside telecommunications related sales

  • 2 years of experience in data, voice, cloud, video solutions or premise based sales

  • Industry experience in business-to-business and telephony sales, including prospecting calls

  • Positive attitude with strong presentation skills

  • Confidence in communicating technical information to high level customers

  • Deadline driven in a dynamic fast-paced environment

  • Motivated by commission-based model

  • Coachable, with entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently

  • Experience with LAN and WAN technologies, high-capacity and fiber networks

  • Familiarity with product suite

Your Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Bachelor's degree in business-related field (preferred)

VIEW JOBS 12/4/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-04T00:00 JOB SUMMARY The Spectrum Account Executive II, Retail Partnerships role acts as liaison between Spectrum and our national retail partners and associated vendors. The Account Executive II will manage and support these partnerships, ensuring proper execution of Spectrum sales and organizational goals and delivery of excellent customer service. The Account Executive II is responsible for managing the implementation and compliance of Spectrum policies and procedures as it relates to the operation. In addition they will deliver training programs to foster success for both parties. The Account Executive II will be responsible for business planning, merchandising and all sales related activities within their territory. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SALES * Forecast & assign monthly goals to retail partnership teams at the start of each new fiscal month * Meet or exceed all assigned sales goals * Ability to assimilate provided sales metrics and form strategies to improve poor performance areas * Daily account management of sales entered through completed installation * Report weekly trend results to retail partnership leadership teams * Attend weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual business review meetings OPERATIONS * Conduct territory & store visits working within budget & expense guidelines * Develop and build relationships with retail partners including but not limited to Best Buy and Walmart. Act as the point of contact for Spectrum to enhance and strengthen the partner relationship * Responsible for ensuring the Spectrum brand is appropriately represented * Order all marketing collateral & supplies for assigned retail partnership teams * Handle all sales order escalations in an expedient manner * Responsible for the completion and follow-up of customer accounts through interaction with other departments and customers as needed (Tech Ops., Care, Risk, etc.) * Timely completion of expected deliverables & sales reports to Territory Manager TRAINING * Train our retail partnership teams on all of Spectrum products and services, current retail marketing offers, and how to process Spectrum orders * Attend meetings, conduct trainings, coaching and in-store demonstrations for Dealer Partners & sales associates; including train the trainer, new products and services offerings * Conduct new hire training camps * Work closely with regional and local partners to implement and integrate Spectrum sales and marketing initiatives in their stores REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills, Abilities and Knowledge * Ability to read, write and speak English. Bi-lingual preferred. * Must have 2 plus years of strong sales experience with a proven track record. * Sales presentation skills, problem solving capabilities, organized and demonstrated initiative. * Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. * Ability to work independently. * Comfort utilizing Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. * Travel frequently between stores within the assigned territory. * Must have a current driver's license with a good driving record. * Have flexibility to work retail hours and adjust schedule as needed based on partners' needs and to maximize sales opportunities. * Must have reliable transportation to travel to partner locations.
