Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Sanitation employee is a member of the sanitation crew and is primarily responsible for conducting the day to day cleaning functions of warehouse facilities including coolers and freezers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness of various surfaces including floors, walls, and warehouse areas.

  • Highly organized, detail orientated and capable of multi-tasking.

  • Learn ammonia inspection processed and procedure, conduct daily inspections.

  • Ability to operate the following equipment:

  • Power Foamer

  • Pressure Washer

  • Forklift

  • Pallet Rider

  • Other projects or duties as assigned.

Position Schedule

Monday-Friday, 10:00am-6:30pm

Required Qualifications

  • High School degree or GED.

  • 0-2 years related experience.

  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 85lbs.

  • Ability to work at a fast pace while standing, walking, bending, and squatting throughout the entire shift.

  • This position requires contact with cleaning chemicals.

  • This position must be willing to work, extended schedules including weekends and holidays.

  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree

  • HACCP-related experience.

  • Foodservice/ Distribution experience.

Manufacturing Maintenance Technician (Mechanic) Shields, a Novolex company is looking for a Maintenance Technician (Mechanic) for our Shawano Wi, Extrusion Plant. This position follows a team schedule position, 5 AM - 5 PM, 12 hour shifts. This position is part of a team responsible for the repair and maintenance of machinery/equipment, throughout the facility as well as performing leadership to production needs. This position must perform all projects to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, and preventative maintenance schedule. * Performs mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical troubleshooting and repair on various equipment and building maintenance. * Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance program. * Provides emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. * Performs mechanic skills including but not limited to, mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production machines. * Will use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. * Safely operate forklift. * Ensures shift employees are following safe work practices and procedures consistently and completely. Audits for compliance and addresses safety issues in a timely manner. * Works safely and is proactively involved in plant safety improvement efforts. * Troubleshoots and resolves process, equipment and material issues in conjunction with machine operators and support personnel. * Studies and understands production schedule and deploys available labor and other resources, as required. * Leads and/or assists shift employees in problem resolution. Leads or supports efforts to determine root cause and develop corrective actions. * Suggests changes in procedures, labor utilization, use of equipment, and materials to increase efficiency of plant, shift, department or work cell. * Communicates regularly and effectively with Production Supervisor and Lead Mechanic about issues occurring on previous, current or following shift. * Communicates effectively and appropriately at the necessary frequency with subordinates, peers and superiors. * Adheres to all plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety standard operating procedures (SOPs). * Other projects and duties, as assigned. Candidate Requirements: * Technical Degree a plus, or equivalent years of experience * Minimum of 2 years' experience in a maintenance/production environment * Electrical training/experience with 480 3 phases/machine controls - preferred * Experience with VFD Drives and PLCs a plus * Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required. * Previous work experience in mechanical, electrical and/or experience in blown film industries strongly preferred. * Experience operating forklift equipment * Familiar with all OSHA and GMP standards & requirements * Computer Skills * Ability to work independently with minimum supervision to complete job tasks. * Resourceful problem solver with proven ability to bring quick resolution to challenging situations. * Team player with ability to build lasting productive business relationships with hourly employees, management, and peers.
