Overview:
The part-time Maintenance/Custodian position (12-17 hours per week) is an hourly position with responsibilities to monitor the Lake of the Ozarks site, perform assigned custodial duties on a regular schedule with minimum supervision, monitor student activity, secure the building outer doors according to schedule, perform light maintenance work as assigned, and other duties consistent with the orderly operating of the facility for the hours scheduled. Individual reports to the site director. This person interacts with the public, students, staff and faculty, and is expected to act as a representative of SFCC at all times.
Examples of Essential Duties:
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping all floors as appropriate
Removal of trash nightly
Clean and re-stock restrooms, breakrooms, and science labs nightly
Clean interior windows and outer door glass
Straighten all furniture, clean white boards, wipe tables and counters
Monitor student behavior and activities in the classrooms, common area and parking lots
Secures (locks) offices nightly
Secures facility at the conclusion of classes
Light maintenance includes light painting, changing air filters, replacing light bulbs, watering plants around the pond, cleaning the pond as needed, shampooing carpets as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Proficiency in the basic operation of cleaning equipment and use of basic cleaning supplies and techniques in their safe use. Experience performing light maintenance work as described in the job duties. Desire and enthusiasm for the position and ability to work in an education setting is required.
