International Conservation Center, Fairhope, PA 15538 Reports To: International Conservation Director FLSA Status: Full time, Hourly, Non-Exempt Purpose : We are looking for a full-time maintenance worke r to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs, grounds work and cleaning.

Responsibilities will include maintenance and repairs to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are clean and functional. The ideal candidate will have well balanced experience, knowledge, and possess physical abilities. Essential Job Functions : Perform maintenance in the areas of Concrete, Carpentry, Painting, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical Trades.

Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, such as farm equipment. Maintain the grounds including lawn mowing, trimming of trees and shrubbery, landscaping and tree replacement, installation and plantings Remove snow from roads, walks, parking lots, animal areas and vehicles Keep facilities clean and presentable Order replacement parts and equipment with management approval. Inspects completed repairs.

Inventory equipment, parts and supplies. Identify and correct unsafe working conditions with management oversight. Check functionality of safety systems such as alarms, lighting, and generators.

Attend training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated. Performs work in accordance with established safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.

May be required to assist with special events. Other Functions: On occasion, it will be necessary to support other staff members with their efforts.

This is a team environment and all are expected to participate in operational challenges. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays. Availability for emergency call-in during off hours for repairs as needed.

Performance Factors: Each employee is expected to report to work at the scheduled time with infrequent absence from work. Each employee is expected to complete work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner.

Each employee is expected to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Each employee is expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate and professional manner.

Each employee is expected to maintain clean and organized work areas Each employee is expected to comply with the dress code Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills : A High School Diploma or equivalent and three to five years’ experience working within general construction trades.

Ability to read, write and communicate at a level that enables the individual to perform essential functions. Maintain a valid PA driver’s license at all times; annual verification must be provided and must be able to operate a utility cart, pick-up truck, tractor and one ton dump truck (non CDL). A CDL license is not required, but please notify us if you have one. Physical Requirements:

Good vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses. Significant walking or other means of mobility. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours). Position is physically demanding and includes indoor and outdoor activity with exposure to inclement weather conditions, requires the ability to lift and support up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work at various heights.
