Title: Maintenance Worker
Department: Facilities Services
Category: Non-Exempt Hourly
Maintenance Worker reports to Maintenance Supervisor and assists in the physical upkeep of the college.
Essential Functions
Proper use of equipment and facilities when necessary.
Understand and adhere to governmental regulatory programs and policies. These include but are not limited to : National Electrical code, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Uniform Building Code (UBC) and local governmental agency policies.
Understand and interpret technical documents and diagrams which include but are not limited to: equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, single line electrical drawings, mechanical and electrical equipment schematics.
Inspect equipment before use and report any unsafe conditions.
This position is responsible for the care, maintenance, and repairs of all properties.
Event set up and take down.
Moving furniture and other items.
Utilizes proper PPE for given duties.
Preforms other duties as assigned.
Asist other Facilities Service teams as needed.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
Strenuous physical activity. Maintenance workers are required to move around campus properties and work with equipment. Outside work is required during all types of weather conditions. Maintenance workers must always use proper protective equipment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
On call work is required and weekend duties.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.

High school diploma or GED preferred
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
