Maintenance Worker II (Multiple Positions)

Operates medium to large trucks, dump/flatbed trucks. Operates hand mowers, edgers, weed eaters, hand tools, hedge trimmers, chainsaws and concrete saws. Maintains roads, medians, and right-of-ways throughout Palm Beach County.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of one (1) year of experience in laboring work providing a familiarity with landscape/road maintenance or construction.

PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE: Operating weed eaters, edgers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws and/or mowers (must specify equipment used on application); working with concrete/hot mix asphalt.

Also desirable: Valid Class B CDL.

NOTE: It is not necessary to submit another application for this position if you applied 1/22/24 - 2/16/24 or 4/1-12/24.

SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION SUBJECT TO RANDOM DRUG TESTING. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment. Must obtain a FL Class B CDL Permit within 90 days of hire and obtain a FL Class B CDL with Air Brakes/Tanker Endorsements within 180 days of appointment. Hearing Loss Test required for selected candidate.
