Maintenance Worker IJob # 2018.169.SSummaryUnder direct supervision, the Maintenance Worker I will be responsible for performing architectural renovations, modifications, repairs and preventive maintenance to building structures and performing all other related duties and tasks as required or assigned.RequirementRequires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0-3 years of directly-related maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained.Must have demonstrated skills in general maintenance and be able to troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of maintenance problems. This position requires the ability to complete associated paperwork and work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Individual must be highly motivated with good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Requires computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn department-specific computer systems as needed.Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling heavy equipment, bending, stooping, climbing, carrying, outdoor work and working alone for long periods of time. Must be able to wear a respirator and any other required personal protective equipment.
Individual must be willing to be on call after normal work hours. This is a night shift position.
