Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You are guaranteed to work at least 6 months per year but not more than 50 weeks per year, with the work schedule to be determined upon appointment.

Performs carpentry repairs of limited difficulty to buildings and quarters. Constructs, installs, repairs and replaces such items as doors, shelves, supply racks, hardware, frame structures, windows, trim and cabinets.
Performs plumbing repairs of limited difficulty such as tightening or replacing in-kind fittings and fixtures which do not require custom fitting or solder joints.
Removes trash and debris from roadsides. Cleans comfort stations, picnic areas, offices, and other public use areas.
Performs grounds maintenance utilizing push mowers, weed eaters, riding mowers and all-terrain vehicles.
Makes minor repairs to buildings and structures. Prepares surfaces for painting by sanding, buffing, and cleaning. Clears simple stoppages; replaces washers in faucets; cuts or drills previously marked holes and openings in walls or floors. Replaces fuses and light bulbs.
Perform minor/routine maintenance while working with/assisting journeyman level employees in completing projects in painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical and utility systems.
Operates motor vehicles weighing up to 10,000 GVW while carrying out duties of the position such as transporting debris, equipment, or personnel.

You may be required to complete training and operate a four-wheel drive vehicle.
You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided.
You may be required to work holidays.
