Reports To:Facilities SupervisorDepartment:FacilitiesEssential ResponsibilitiesThe Maintenance Worker, under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor, undertakes, upkeeps, and repairs the interior and exterior of a 15-acre facility. The Maintenance Worker is responsiblefor keeping our facilities and equipment in great condition by performing various maintenance and repair jobs.Specific Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoots, makes necessary repairs, and completes preventative maintenance and housekeeping practices for all related facilities equipment.
  • Able to trouble-shoot and solve technical issues by following technical manuals and schematics.
  • Ensures equipmentis repaired in a timely manner.
  • Performs maintenance and minor repairs to electrical, plumbing and/or HVAC.
  • Performs routine landscaping on the grounds.
  • Compiles records of completed maintenance and repair work.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 1-to-2-year experience of any repair field
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC systems
  • Basic understanding of measurements, addition, and subtraction
Must be able to:
  • Carry, pull, and push up to 50 pounds of dead weight
  • Climb up and down a ladder
  • Sit, stand, stoop, kneel, squat, crouch, and or crawl
  • Twist or turn in confined spaces

VIEW JOBS 1/31/2023 12:00:00 AM 2023-05-01T00:00 <p>Sr. Building Maintenance Worker</p><p>Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 27275396 Full Time 7 AM - 4 PM $47,502 - $62,661</p><p>Position Information</p><p>Under the supervision of a Skilled Trades Supervisor, the Sr. Building Maintenance Worker works independently, as a part of a regular maintenance crew, or as an assistant to skilled tradesmen. <br><br> Performs a variety of semi-skilled and/or planned maintenance tasks, projects, and assignments, such as replacing HVAC filters, replacing lamps, performing repairs on fixed furniture, breaking and removal of concrete and asphalt, and other tasks as assigned. Will support other trades in the Maintenance Services unit by performing semi-skilled building maintenance tasks, including Access Control, Carpentry/Sheetmetal/Regulated Materials, Electrical, Building Mechanical/HVAC, Plumbing, Paint/Signage, Fire &amp; Life Safety. Will perform tasks on a regular, continuing, or as needed basis in one or more of the trades. <br><br> Supports the inspection and response to requests for repairs or installations on campus. Performs the assigned preventative maintenance on equipment and systems. Maintains clear and accurate documentation of all inspections, testing and maintenance (corrective and/or preventative) performed. <br><br> Updates equipment documentation, specifications and drawings, as needed. Reviews and updates all shop logs, both paper and electronic according to updates and changes. Assists with responding to emergency situations to mitigate and/or resolve immediate building maintenance concerns or safety issues. <br><br> Reviews blueprints/drawings, and specifications for new construction and retrofit/renovation projects according to building code requirements. Assists with responding to emergency situations during or after hours for the purposes of resolving immediate safety concerns. Performs all job duties in adherence with University and departmental safety guidelines.
