Job Description:

The Maintenance Utility is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair for the location; ensuringthat the location meets local-state- federal laws and regulations; maintaining control over the approvedmaintenance budget; performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned bymanagement. This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the General Manager or Assistant GeneralManager, depending on local requirements.Essential Functions: Inspects, diagnoses and performs repairs (within guidelines of expertise and in conjunction with local-state-federal health and safety guidelines) Maintains; small appliances, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry Ensures the physical structure and equipment are in safe operating condition as per regulations issuedby local-state- federal health and safety authorities Coordinates repairs within approved budgetary guidelines Maintains preventative maintenance schedule and records for all systems and equipment Performs landscaping and snow removal where applicable

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment: Experience in maintenance field preferred Knowledge of the following trades preferred: landscaping (where applicable), small appliance repair,HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry Requires a clean driving record; ability to pass HMSHost MVR background check required Requires the ability to stand for long periods of time Requires the ability to bend, and twist to perform normal job functions Requires the ability to lift and maneuver items weighing 80lbs Requires the ability to perform tasks while on a ladder Requires the ability to be exposed to various climates from extreme heat to extreme cold Requires the ability to operate equipment that requires continual and repetitive hand and arm motions Certificate of completion of courses in above mentioned trades preferred

This will include, but not be limited to, the servicing, inspection, removal, cleaning, repair, installation, adjustment, testing of aircraft avionic systems or mechanical, structural and electrical systems and components and ground support equipment * Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, including, but not limited to, power plants, flight controls, dynamic systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, environmental, basic structures and power generation and distribution systems * Maintain and clean workspaces around classrooms, computer rooms, hangar, mechanical and electrical shop, stores and office areas, remove all debris accumulated by tasks performed and maintain a clean, safe work area * Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and be a dynamic team player * Thorough understanding of aircraft terminology or simulation devices * Ability to interpret schematics and other technical documents pertaining to C130 aircraft and aviation * As part of a team, provides preventive and corrective maintenance, as detailed in the quality and maintenance documents, to achieve required availability * Monitors all training devices and ensures the resolution of system actual and potential problems * Confers with technical experts and colleagues to formulate solutions * Debug and troubleshoot problems spanning a wide range of technologies, including, but not limited to: computer systems, hydraulic systems and avionics systems * Other duties as required in support of the full operation of the C130J maintenance training facility * Be available to work shift work * Be able to hold a Canadian Security Clearance & Controlled Good Clearance EDUCATION - 2-year technical degree or equivalent Avionics /Aviation related training EXPERIENCE * 3 years aircraft experience with at least 1 year relative simulator experience or equivalent * Working knowledge of MS-Office tools and suite * Demonstrated proficiency with all types of test equipment * Demonstrated troubleshooting skills * Thorough understanding of aircraft terminology or simulation devices * Demonstrated ability to perform in-depth analysis and research for hardware modifications and upgrades * Demonstrated ability as the "Technical Expert" on at least one major aircraft system * Demonstrate ability to interpret system prints and schematics Position Type Regular CAE thanks all applicants for their interest.
