The successful candidate for Maintenance Technician is a proven, independent self-starter and must possess the abilities to perform in a team environment.
Reports to: Maintenance Engineer
Hours: Nights (6pm-6am)
Responsible for all maintenance activities, including equipment safety, maximizing machine productivity and uptime, as well as the condition and upkeep of the facility. This position plays a key role in supporting, maintaining, and improving processes associated with the computerized maintenance management system for process reliability.
2 - 5 years of experience in a combination of at least two of the following:
3-5 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
1-2 years of demonstrated hands on experience and working knowledge with each of the following:
Industrial Mechanical Systems and Controls
Industrial Electrical Systems and Controls
Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
Proven safety record and solid understanding of LOTO, Guarding and Electrical Safety
History of meeting daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong team player
Must have demonstrated communication skills and be able to prioritize complex tasks and problem solve.
Computer literate Experience in Microsoft Office products: Excel and Word a must.
Flexible schedule to provide coverage for all shifts as necessary.
Participate in preventive & predictive maintenance/process reliability efforts.
Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment (both mechanical and electrical systems).
Diagnosis and repair of equipment and facility malfunctions and faults.
Use technical expertise to identify solutions to equipment related problems and improvement opportunities.
Assist Production personnel with non-routine problems with the operation of equipment.
Work in conjunction with Project Engineers to provide support for capital improvement projects as necessary.
Must be able to left 60 lbs at any given time.
Ability to operate pallet jacks, forklift and other industrial equipment.
