Position: Maintenance Technician

Summary:

Performs equipment maintenance duties to ensure quality product is produced, packaged, and prepared for delivery to customers in a safe manner.

Must be able to work 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production lines and associated assigned systems.

  • Using hand and power tools, repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and Allen Bradley electronics.

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on assigned equipment.

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical circuitry malfunctions.

  • Report and take action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.

  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.

  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Follow all safety and security policies and procedures.

  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

  • Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.

  • Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED, required.

  • Minimum two (2) years related experience in a manufacturing environment, required.

Other Functions:

  • Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data.

  • Ability to read diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.

  • Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend.

  • Must be able to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; and occasionally 75 pounds.

  • Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Must be organized and detail oriented.

  • Must be able to work independently.

Supervisory Responsibility: No.

Working Conditions: Must be able to work for extended periods in a cold, damp environment.

Language Skills:
Ability to communicate in English is required; however, bilingual skills may be preferred based on business necessity.

Description Position Summary: The Bakery Production Worker rotates throughout several tasks in a bakery production environment including filling, wrapping, and packaging product while adhering to food safety and quality procedures. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs. Essential Functions: * Operates and monitors continuous production line * Rotates among duties including the filler machine, wrapper machine, packing boxes, stacking boxes, etc. * Visually inspects product for quality and quantity * Reports all equipment issues to the supervisor or manager in a timely manner * Understands and complies with all safety procedures that apply to daily operations * Maintains a safe and clean environment by adhering to safety policy and procedures * Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc. * Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation * Ensures security of company assets Qualifications * Previous experience in a bakery production or related role preferred * Proven knowledge of bakery production methods and standards and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage * Must be able to obtain a food safety certification * Demonstrates basic math and counting skills * Requires repetitive motion with hands and arms * Requires frequent bending, stooping, and twisting * Requires frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs. * Requires occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
