JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician position provides a wide range of facilities maintenance and custodial services for the hotel. The ideal candidate must be able to perform detailed mid-level technical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of hotel facilities and equipment independently. Our Maintenance Technicians are required to comply with all OSHA standards and regulations as well as government mandate regulating public safety and security. Regular work attendance which includes flexibility in work schedule that may include afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):

  • Maintains the facility and grounds based on property objectives.

  • Follows practices for the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of all facility equipment, including compliance with health, safety and OSHA programs, policies, procedures, reports.

  • Responds to work orders in a timely manner, including after-hours on-call maintenance requests. Participates in the on-call rotation with the rest of the Maintenance Team.

  • Assists with the inspection of public areas and guest rooms to ensure proper maintenance and standards are achieved and sustained.

  • Follows Westmont Hospitality Group, city, state, federal, and EPA air conditioning and refrigeration record-keeping requirements and procedures are met as to the maintenance, service, repair, and disposal of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and refrigerant.

  • Follows health department, city, state, and federal procedures, practices and record-keeping requirements applicable to pools and spas are followed to maintain proper water chemistry and sanitation.

  • Keeps storage areas, tools, and equipment secure at all times.

  • Participates in HomeTowne Studios training as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience

  • Must have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and basic maintenance skills

  • Working knowledge of pool service and maintenance required

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs. and work 8-12 hour standing shifts

  • Must be able to work weekends and be available for on-call emergencies

Spartanburg is the largest KDRP manufacturing and distribution location. The site will operate on the foundational principles of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance); leverage the principles of Lean manufacturing and harness the power of High Performance Teams. All associates at the Spartanburg site will have accountability to both a functional business unit in addition to the full site operation. The site will run on first-in-class enterprise IT and manufacturing execution systems with highly automated processing, packaging, and material movement equipment. Shift and Schedule:This position is located in our Spartanburg, SC facility. This is a full time position working our N2 Shift. This shift works from 6:30pm - 6:30am working Wednesday - Friday, every other Saturday. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled. As a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician , you are responsible for installing, modifying, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, rebuilding, and dismantling all types of complex manufacturing and support equipment. You will be involved in work of a varied nature with minimal supervision, to maintain physical assets in a condition desired by management and in compliance with industry standards and government regulations. You are responsible for training, advising, and sometimes directing other technicians within a fast pace production environment. What you will do: * Diagnose, plan, & perform all operations necessary to install, modify, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, rebuild, & dismantle various types of complex manufacturing & support equipment with special focus on advanced troubleshooting on control systems, servo drives, motors, HMIs, & PLCs on complex high speed packaging lines * Perform preventive maintenance & other proactive activities to monitor & maintain equipment condition * Coordinate with other technicians, production personnel, engineering, management, & other stakeholders to communicate & plan maintenance activities * Coordinate with equipment/service vendors for technical assistance * Maintain safe, clean, & well-organized work areas * Comply with regulatory, Keurig Dr Pepper, & departmental policies, procedures, & standards (especially safety) * Assist other maintenance technicians as priorities dictate, time allows, or directed. * Identify opportunities for maintenance or process improvement & drive recommendations to implementation or resolution * Complete or assist with special projects as directed * Perform other duties as requested by management Requirements What you must have: * Associates degree in electrical engineering and or equivalent experience is preferred * 5 years' experience maintaining, troubleshooting, & repairing mechanical & electrical/controls/PLC systems (Allen-Bradley systems experience preferred, including, but not limited to, the Rockwell FactoryTalk suite of software, Logix platform, & proficient understanding of Allen-Bradley industrial networks, including but not limited to Device net) * Experience with variable speed & servo drive programming & function (prefer Allen-Bradley) * Experience with robotic control systems (prefer GE-Fanuc) * Possess a good understanding of computer & industrial networks * Ability to read, understand, & follow complex instructions, prints, & schematics * Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment * Ability to positively cooperate & communicate with coworkers, contractors, & management in a team environment * Ability to obtain operator certification on designated equipment * Able to work on ladders & lifts (as applicable & recommended) up to heights of 60 feet * Ability to wear OSHA-approved personal protective equipment (PPE) * Ability to bend, lift & stretch on a regular basis * Ability to follow Keurig Dr Pepper policies & procedures * Ability to consistently interact with others in a cooperative, respectful, & professional way * Positive attitude with ability to work a fast-paced environment & overcome challenges * Demonstrate good verbal & written communication skills * Ability to work within a team to reach a common goals * Ability to work with power tools, hand tools, & machinery safely Company Overview Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) is a leading coffee and beverage company in North America with dual headquarters in Burlington, MA and Plano, TX, with annual revenue in excess of $11 billion.
