Volt is immediately hiring for Maintenance Technician with Welding and Fabrication Experience!

As a Maintenance Technician you will:

  • Perform repairs in accordance to OSHA guidelines

  • Performs all plant Fabrication needs including Injection Molding Tools.

  • Performs preventative maintenance inspection (PM); diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment/components including injection machinery, hydraulic power packs, diverters, compressors, trash compactors, motors, fans, pumps, forklifts, material loaders, and building equipment.

  • Maintains DEI (Daily Equipment Inspections) backlog.

  • Establishes and adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules and advises plan maintenance manager if additional work is needed or cannot be completed with the Standard Repair Times (SRTs)

  • Recommends measures to improve production, equipment performance, and product quality.

  • Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.

  • Other special duties as assigned.

This is a Full-Time 1st Shift Opportunity.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Speak, read, and understand English.

  • Must have fabrication experience or knowledge of Mig/Tig/Arc/Oxy Acetylene/Brazing etc. and Oxygen/Acetylene torch cut and heat.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, production-based warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Knowledge of safety rules in typical warehouse/manufacturing/production areas.

  • Must be able to stand most of the 8-hour workday.

  • Must be able to drive a forklift (standing & sit down).

  • Actively engages in a team-based environment.

  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot and identify mechanical issues.

  • Ability to perform under limited supervision.

  • Requires a flexible work schedule which may include nights and weekends to support the operating schedule and the needs of the facility.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience using inspection equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, and soldering, manual lathe, or vertical mill, and drill press.

  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot and identify electrical systems including but not limited to; automated systems (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs) 3H Power, Transformers, electric motors, rectifiers, power supplies, disconnects, contractors, etc.

Pay Rate: $20-25/hr

  • Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
