About the Role:

In this Collierville, Tennessee based role, the Maintenance Technician will support the manufacturing and shipping operations of the Diversified Products division of IPS Corporation by successfully executing maintenance on equipment and facilities, reducing production and operations downtime, and be actively involved in the continuous improvement process and strategy.

Qualifications

• Ability to work safely, knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations, especially those that apply to maintenance activities.

• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical prints and drawings.

• Ability to use measuring devices. I.e., calipers, electrical meter, pressure reading devices, temperature, gages, etc.

• Ability to execute work orders and preventative maintenance schedules.

• Electrical and mechanical trouble shooting skills.

• Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical circuits.

• Basic PCL, ladder logic, and motor drive trouble shooting skills.

• Basic facilities knowledge to include HVAC compressors, water chillers, plumbing, etc.

• Ability to analyze maintenance data including emergency vs. scheduled maintenance work, PM compliance, maintenance downtime, etc.

• Other duties as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements

The successful candidate will be energetic, insightful, collaborative, self-motivated, and positive. Other highly valued skills include:

• Reading, writing and comprehension skills.

• Basic math skills plus ability to compute rate, ration, and percentages.

• Interpret charts and graphs.

• Problem solving skills.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands and fingers to handle, feel, and reach.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception.
