Essential Functions/General Job Description:

All positions are responsible for:

Maintaining 5S standards of assigned areas and observing company policies at all times.

Completing each phase of responsibility by knowing, understanding and adhering to all TS16949 standard operating procedures.

Notifying designated personnel of any irregularities in materials, process or equipment.

Performing each phase of job in full compliance with all company, state and/or federal safety and environmental regulations. This position impacts the significant environment aspects of the ISO14001environmental management system.

Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervision.

Shift leader responsibilities

Perform the following independently with a minimum of supervision:

• Operate powered mobile equipment per company standards. Maintain production, maintenance, S.P.C., deviations and other required records and logs, as instructed.

• Lay out, construct, test wire, assemble, install, adjust, troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and power control equipment from schematics, prints, drawings, sketches, verbal instructions, etc. Comply with building and underwriters codes and all national/city/state electrical codes.

• Determine proper secondary components such as wire size, breakers, switches, insulation, chassis and associated hardware and various commercial catalog items.

• Operate various types of electrical and electronic measuring and calibration instruments such as meters, oscilloscopes, oscillators, thermocouples, bridges, etc. Generate and record pertinent data while testing, adjusting or operating prototype or developmental new and/or used equipment.

• Make sketches or diagrams of electrical and electronic circuits and layouts regarding plant services and/or equipment on new or used machinery or devices.

• Perform all work in a skilled and craftsman like manner; make electronic quality solder joints, connections, terminations, crimps, etc. Protect and mount elements taking care to avoid heat damage at all times.

• Consult and work with specialists and engineers on experimental or exploratory problems.

• Perform specified tasks of an Electrician as assigned.

• Perform other related duties such as maintain repair, maintenance, productions, S.P.C., and other required records and logs, maintain inventory of stock, enter and retrieve information to and from data terminals, obtain and return supplies and equipment, operate powered mobile equipment to facilitate movement, placement and/or repair of equipment at walk speeds or less, cooperate with other maintenance groups to accomplish other maintenance tasks as required, etc. Instruct, direct and/or provide assistance and guidance to other less experienced personnel in matters pertaining to electrical and/or electronic work. Alert supervision of errors in drawings and specifications.

This position may require hot work, standing up to 100%, lifting up to 75 lbs, overhead work, kneeling, bending, crawling, pushing, pulling, climbing, and working at heights.

Minimum Requirements:

Electronic Tech grade 9 for 3 years and 2 year technical degree in related field or 4 year degree in related field or 2 year tech degree with 10 years related experience.

Special Requirements:

Provide approved personal tools as necessary to perform job.

Successfully complete Powered Industrial Truck Operator training course and physical.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Safety Glasses, safety shoes and hearing protection where required per Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Other protective equipment as required for specialized tasks as assigned.

Machinery/Equipment:

All electronic and electrical trade tools, related power tools, powered mobile equipment, work platforms, ladders, printed circuit processing equipment, measuring and calibrating equipment, hand tools, paint brushes, clerical supplies, data terminals, safety equipment as required, etc.
