USANA Health Sciences is seeking an individual with general mechanical aptitude who has a proven record of working well without supervision to join our production maintenance team as a maintenance technician. In this position, you will keep our production equipment and all mechanical items in production area in top working condition.
In this entry - level position you will maintain equipment, troubleshoot mechanical failures and ensure proper operation. Your ability to work under pressure will be integral to your success. Additional Essential Functions
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair on packaging, manufacturing and production equipment.
Calibrate sensitive equipment, including thermometers, scales, etc.
Maintain computerized maintenance work orders for service, repairs and preventive maintenance
Identify and maintain inventory of critical components including parts, fluids, etc.
Ability to tear down machinery or equipment, replace or repair parts, and reassemble properly
Understand electricity, using electrical test equipment for troubleshooting
Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements
Business travel up to 50% may be required for this position.
Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends
Understands and complies with all workplace and OSHA safety regulations
Mechanically inclined with great troubleshooting skills.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
