Position Details for the Maintenance Technician
Starting Pay for the Maintenance Technician is dependent upon experience and evaluation.
The Maintenance salary range is from $23.83 per hour to $33.78 per hour base pay.
Pay increases are earned through a Pay-For-Skill Point System.
In addition, we offer a monthly bonus based on performance metrics and attendance.
The Maintenance Technician Trainee is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all production and plant support systems.
Monitors all equipment to ensure reliability
Repairs, installs, adjusts, modifies, and services all types of production equipment, plant instrumentation and relays
Troubleshoots hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Reads ladder logic and function block logic to troubleshoot
Participates in the preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, 5S, and Equipment Improvement Teams
Completes work orders in a safe and appropriate manner
Participates on safety and 5S teams
Maintains open communication with production technicians
Provides support to other maintenance technicians
Identifies and reports opportunities for improvement of PM's and spare parts controls
Works within an environment focused on the reduction of unplanned downtime
Works collaboratively with other functional areas to ensure accomplishment of overall plant objectives
Applies lean manufacturing tools & principles in maintenance activities
Performs autonomous care and housekeeping
Documents spare parts usage
Works within scheduling requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must be a graduate or currently participating in an accredited Maintenance Educational program.
Working knowledge of electricity, hydraulic and pneumatic systems is preferred
Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings is preferred
Must possess good compliment of maintenance hand tools (List will be provided)
Must have positive attitude
Must have good attendance record
Must be flexible to work different hours/shifts as required
Must be capable of progressing through the Maintenance Pay-For-Skills System to a minimum of Level III
Solid verbal and written communication skills
