A Maintenance Technician job in Mason, Oh is currently available for 1st and 3rd shifts through Belcan. In this role, you will be responsible for maintain, repair and troubleshoot complex blow mold equipment and other high-speed manufacturing equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes that support plant goals and objectives. Systems include: conveyor systems, palletizing and strapping equipment compressors, chillers and fire pumping station; and installing electrical and wiring systems, including troubleshooting PLC software programs, as well as hydraulics and pneumatic. To be considered for this role, you will have a High School Diploma or equivalent is required although prefer a Two year Electrical Associates Degree and/or a combination of education with apprenticeship or experience; military experience a plus; or equivalent combination of education and acceptable relevant experience with 3 years in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment with plastics experience a plus and strong Electro-Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic system and PLC software troubleshooting.

Maintenance Technician job responsibilities:

  • maintain, repair and troubleshoot complex blow mold equipment and other high-speed manufacturing equipment

  • troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, palletizing and strapping equipment compressors, chillers and fire pumping station; and installing electrical and wiring systems.

  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, Electro-Mechanical and pneumatic systems

  • Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers, following electrical code and blueprints, using hand tools and voltage tester.

  • Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints, using hand tools and test equipment.

  • Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment, and replace damaged or broken wires and cables, using hand tools.

  • Test and diagnose malfunctioning machinery using test equipment, and repairs malfunction with other maintenance workers, such as machine repairer, maintenance and tool maker.

  • Replace faulty electrical components of machine, such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices.

  • Diagnose, repair or replace faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards, using electronic test equipment and hand tools.

  • Replace electric motor bearings and rewire motor

  • Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.

  • Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; or equivalent combination of education and acceptable relevant experience, or prefer a Two year Electrical Associates Degree and/or a combination of education with apprenticeship or experience; military experience a plus; or equivalent combination of education and acceptable relevant experience with 3 years in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment

  • Eligibility to hold electrician's license.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and ladder logic . Electro-Mechanical and hydraulic/pneumatic system troubleshooting skills

  • Experience with conveyor systems, palletizing and strapping equipment compressors, chillers and fire pumping station; and installing electrical and wiring systems.

  • Test and diagnose malfunctioning machinery using test equipment, and repairs malfunction

with other maintenance workers, such as machine repairer, maintenance and tool maker.

  • Diagnose, repair or replace faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards, using electronic test equipment and hand tools.

  • Replace electric motor bearings and rewire motors

  • Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.

  • Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.

  • Strong, hands-on experience with computers, PLC programming, motor controls and power distribution.
