Job Description
Summary
The primary function of a Maintenance Team Lead is to lead and manage the maintenance team in all maintenance functions. The incumbent will coordinate with internal engineering and project teams as well as outside contractors and execute the Preventative Maintenance Program for the plant.
Essential Functions
Assist in the development of standard practices for maintenance methods and protocols.
Setup and adjust equipment in a manufacturing/factory setting.
Monitor, train, and hold all departmental associates accountable to ensure necessary schooling or On the Job (OJT) training is completed to round out their skills.
Performs preventive maintenance routines and schedules normal maintenance visits by OEM or other approved support company.
Interacting with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems in the facility.
Comply with all safety regulations and norms as set by OSHA and the Company.
Filing purchase orders and other documentation for the procurement of spare and replacement parts.
Responsible for performance reviews and disciplinary action for all maintenance technicians.
40 % of job responsibility is to perform maintenance technician duties; this can increase as needs of the plant increase.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Completion of a two or four year program of technical training.
Minimum of 2 years applicable experience.
Special Skills
Must have good mathematical aptitude, both in knowledge and practice.
Must be capable of identifying technical problems and preventing and/or resolving issues rapidly.
Requires project management skills, a logical approach to problem solving, analytical skills and a big-picture understanding with short term tactical focus.
Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional peers as well as upper level management.
The ability to make independent judgments and utilize problem solving skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Computer proficiency and organizational skills.
Ability for strong detail in following procedures and technical specifications.

Frequently moves about the production facilities. Must be able to detect unsafe conditions from long distances.
Work Environment
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid and dry/arid conditions. Frequently required the use of personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.
