Are you looking to use your maintenance experience in a new role? Doherty Career Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician for this exciting employment opportunity!
This is a 12 hour night shift position working from 5:45pm - 6:00am. You would be in charge of assisting with the maintenance of all plant processes in their assigned area of responsibility, maintaining the highest levels of safety, quality and productivity. This position will start training on day shift, and will move to night shift.
Compensation starts at $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Operate and maintain all equipment in your area, ensuring its working properly and efficiently
Maintain spare parts inventory, notifying manager when running low
Learn and apply new processes, as well as train, lead and communicate with co-workers
Evaluate processes for continuous improvement ideas to help minimize change-over times
Follow work direction, completing/overseeing all record keeping and performing all required tests
Maintain sanitation records, tracking chemicals used and in what concentration
High School diploma or GED, plus post-secondary maintenance training or comparable experience
1 to 3 years of maintenance experience in a production environment
Above average verbal and written communication skills.
Strong mechanical background, and knowledge of plumbing, electrical, welding, heating and refrigeration
Must be goal oriented and be able to work independently and in teams #CMNCareers

VIEW JOBS 11/7/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-05T00:00 POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for directing, controlling, and coordinating all maintenance parts procurement and software management to maximize the long-term and short-term profitability of the Business Operations while maintaining or exceeding Pilgrims performance standards. This position is also responsible for assisting with the development of reliability based maintenance strategies based in preventive and predictive maintenance. Will work directly with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Superintendent to build reliable maintenance systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned * Directs and Coordinates all Maintenance Parts Purchasing, Stocking, and Issuance. * Manages and Leads coordination activities of part inventories per Schedule and / or per Request. * Management of All Maintenance Related Consumables. * Leads and develops the Parts Team personnel. * Responsible for Management of Pilgrims Maintenance Software (PM's & Work Orders). * Works Directly with Maintenance team to Schedule Work and Develop Procurement Plan. * Works Directly with Maintenance Leadership to Develop and Adhere to Fiscal Year R&M Budget. * Listens to and Develops Plans to Meet Changing Maintenance / Business Needs. * Works Directly with Engineering to Identify and Plan part inventories of New Equipment. * Manages Plant Asset Status by Working Directly with Accounting. * Setup and maintain all predictive and preventative maintenance plans in SAP to maximize equipment reliability. * Determine the most effective method/tool to conduct preventative and predictive maintenance checks based on equipment critically. * Setup PM plan in SAP for each piece of equipment, including frequency, mechanic tasks, parts needs, tools needed, safety procedures. * Generate PM work orders in SAP, from the PM plans for the next 14-28 days. * Monitor and report if PM work is being completed to maintain equipment reliability, and comply with regulations and audits. * Release and Schedule PM work orders to maintenance crews. * Seek input from maintenance supervisors to continually improve and adjust PM plans based on equipment and part performance/failure. * Monitor and analyze SAP part failure data (along with supervisors and maintenance manager) to detect trends (good or bad). * Plan and Schedule Corrective work to maximize crew utilization and effectiveness. * Plans the work, including estimated labor by craft (Mech, Elect, Refrig), and special equipment or permits needed. * Reviews Planned Backlog of work that is ready to execute * Leads weekly maintenance scheduling meeting. * Prepares weekly metrics * Maintains equipment repair records in compliance with company policy. * Other duties as assigned by management EXPECTATIONS – all Team Members * Observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies. * Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams. * Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies such as Six Sigma, and participates in or supports the E$P program * Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks.
