The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and improving mechanical and electrical equipment and systems in a working manufacturing environment with an emphasis on employee safety as the top priority.
Responsible for keeping brewery equipment running to its full potential with a minimum amount of downtime.
Diagnose, repair and overhaul process pumps, automatic control valves, sensors, positioners, actuators, basic electrical AC/DC troubleshooting and related systems.
Diagnose and repair of all machinery and process malfunctions, must be fluent in mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting a plus.
Diagnose and repair of all mechanical power transmission equipment. Knowledge of Gear boxes, mechanical drives and variable speed applications.
Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics and piping diagrams.
Application and use of mechanical tools, hand tools, power tools and skilled in machine shop to machine within specific tolerance using various measuring equipment.
Operates, maintains, troubleshoots and improves mechanical and electrical equipment and systems in a working manufacturing environment with an emphasis on employee safety as the top priority.
Follow company policies & procedures, reflect organizational core values and strive to maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Perform daily inspection of all brewery support utilities and equipment and conduct preventative maintenance work.
General understanding of specific beer process terminologies as they relate to maintenance needs.
Builds Spinbots as requested.
Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of safe maintenance practices.
Knowledge of draft systems.
Knowledge of mechanical, welding, boiler, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and fabrication skills as related to brewery equipment operations and maintenance
Knowledge of pumps, valves, plumbing, process piping systems, automated equipment, fluid dynamics, high-speed packaging equipment, plant utility systems, steam, compressed air systems.
Skill in effective communication.
Skill in responsible decision making.
Ability to demonstrate reliability.
Physical & Mental Requirements
Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations. Required to frequently lift and move 30-160 pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.
