Your Role Within the Company:

Related Management is currently seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Technician for 2 market rate properties consisting of 154 Units and 80 Units located in Watford City, ND. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for common area and apartment repairs in the scope of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances. Further oversight of the building's curb appeal through building exterior inspections and grounds maintenance is required. Customer service and attention to detail are critical skills to ensure the satisfaction of the community's residents.

Background profile:

  • 1+ years experience of plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and painting.

  • Previous apartment experience preferred.

  • Must have reliabel transportation to travel between sites.

  • Customer service first attitude.

  • Must have personal, reliable transportation for on-call emergencies.

  • Building maintenance environment, indoor/outdoor, consisting of exposure to moving mechanical parts and seasonal temperature changes.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to climb ladders and crawl into confined spaces.

  • Must be able to endure walking, squatting, bending, balancing, climbing, kneeling, crawling and prolonged standing.

  • On call is required

VIEW JOBS 8/16/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-14T00:00 SUMMARY Responsible for performing instrument and electrical repair and maintenance duties for pipeline, terminal, electrical instruments, and automated systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Understand and comply with company safety and environmental policies * Provide daily mentoring to junior level I&E technicians * Troubleshoot and repair analyzers, AC motor starters, VFD's and control circuits * Working knowledge of PSM/MOC/PHA processes * Coordinate PSM's by planning work, scheduling manpower, estimating costs, and documenting work and findings * Create I&E written procedures and uses discretion and judgement in resolving problems * Identify failures that indicate underlying problems, that need Root Cause Failure Analysis * As a safety-sensitive position, its required to be able to work weekends, on-call and holidays as needed. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * A High School diploma or equivalent is required. * Associate's degree in related field and 5 years' experience as an I&E Technician preferred * Current and valid driver's license * Completion of AC Motor Control and Electrical Safety course * Must have good verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with staff, management, customers and vendors. * Must be a detail oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks. * Should have good PC skills to include all MS Office products. * Must possess sound reasoning skills and be able to multi-task and maintain focus while sometimes working in high pressure situations. * Advanced knowledge of computer applications and must have a strong understanding of technical concepts. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job.
