The Opportunity:

The primary duties of the Maintenance Technician employee are (1) Inspections, (2) Preventive Maintenance, (3) Leadership and Organization, (4) Planning and Scheduling, (5) Parts Management, (6) Facilities/tools/workshop, (7) Documentation Management, (8) Safety Initiatives, and (9) Active participation in the WestRock Health & Safety Program.

Inspection Responsibilities Include:

  • Documented inspection of operating equipment, rolling stock, docks, firefighting systems, building and grounds. DOT inspections on owned trailers.

  • Use of and adherence to established maintenance schedule of inspections.

Preventive Maintenance Responsibilities Include:

  • PM plan is followed, documented, and tracked.

  • PM plan is hard scheduled into daily maintenance.

  • PM plan is scheduled not to disrupt production.

  • Pits cleaned and maintained.

Leadership and Organization Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintenance assists in training operators.

  • Maintenance reports to Plant Manager.

  • Maintenance has access to PC and has been trained.

  • Empowerment to take system off line and authorized to initiate LOTO.

  • Review downtime reports.

Planning and Scheduling Responsibilities Include:

  • Written schedule development (working with Operations Manager).

  • Use of pre-task meeting forms and non-routine task check list.

  • Submitting forecast and budget numbers.

Parts Management Responsibilities Include:

  • Parts are marked and stored in a controlled and orderly manner.

  • Worn parts disposed and reordered automatically.

  • Recommended parts, motors, etc. kept in stock.

  • Part list maintained and updated on usage history.

  • Repairs and costs documented.

Facilities/Tools/Workshop Responsibilities Include:

  • Building and grounds high standard is maintained.

  • Housekeeping high standard is maintained.

  • Guarding is maintained.

  • Tool cabinet complete and maintained orderly.

  • Task specific PPE maintained in stock.

  • Workshop well lit, orderly and secured.

  • Welding and cutting area maintained to high standard.

  • Gases (oxygen and Acetylene) separated 20 feet during storage.

Documentation Management Responsibilities Include:

  • Inspections are maintained for one year.

  • Rolling stock inspections are maintained for minimum six months.

  • Equipment manuals are maintained.

  • Equipment and plant drawings/ schematics are maintained.

Safety Initiatives Responsibilities Include:

  • Lockout Tagout, Confined Spaces documented.

  • Storyboards in place.

  • Lockout devices readily available.

  • Individual locks identified.

  • Inspection process in place.

  • NFPA70E in compliance.

  • Electrical panels marked correctly.

  • Training documented.

  • Task specific PPE maintained.

  • Inspection process in place.

  • Applying directives on additional initiatives as needed.

What you need to succeed:

  • Strong mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Electrical maintenance experience a plus.

Purpose: * The Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. S/he also will oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to him/her. Duties and Responsibilities: * Receive repair orders from dispatcher and take to stall area. * Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. * Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair. * Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts. * Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer. * Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required. * Notify service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required. * Notify service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised. * Document work performed. * Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician, keeping in mind that the customer vehicle should not be used for personal errands. * Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned. * Attend factory-sponsored training classes. * Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins. * Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean. * Keep shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times. * Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes. * Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor. Qualifications: * High CSI is a must. * ASE or manufacturing training. * High school diploma or the equivalent. * Valid driver's license and a good driving record. * Manual dexterity. * Good Judgment. * All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA. * All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner. * All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.
