CNC Field Service

MMT, LLC - Productivity, Inc is seeking talented Field Service Technicians, with industrial maintenance experience to install, troubleshoot, and repair CNC (metalworking) equipment.

Home-based in the Salt Lake City area, this position requires daily travel to customer locations (we provide a company vehicle) with about 25% overnight travel Monday-Friday.

Service Technician Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls at customer sites.

  • Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, software, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.

  • Diagnose & repair problems. Identify & replace parts as necessary. Test & make adjustments.

  • Utilize machine tool manuals, technical documents, internal and vendor resources to research machine issues.

Service Technician Requirements

  • Previous experience in machinery repair or other related fields - industrial mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical aptitude and repair.

  • Degree/certificate in related field helpful; Mechatronics, electrical/mechanical or electronics, Automation Technology, Automated Machinery Systems, Robotics, etc.

  • Understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics to effectively detect and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical components.

  • Ability to read and understand measurement gauges.

  • Ability & desire to work independently. Strong customer service skills.

  • Valid drivers license. Clean driving record.

  • Monday Friday. Occasional overtime. Very limited overnight travel.

VIEW JOBS 10/30/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-28T00:00 Overview The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for making repairs as needed in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. Further responsibilites include, but are not limitied to, maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, instrumentation/controls and related systems. Responsibilities * Completes repairs, PM's and maintains the electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and other related building systems in all facility departments; * Maintain AC Drives, Soft Starts, PLC's and other automation equipment used in the operation of building support equipment; * Planning, material requisition, and installation for small project work involving electrical (lighting, power requirements), plumbing, mechanical and other facility type projects; * Inspects, operates and maintains the HVAC systems (including boiler systems), radiant floor heat, snow melt systems, utilizing the building automation system; * Completes general repairs such as painting, patching walls, security hardware, landscaping and irrigation systems; * Assists with renovations, major repairs/replacements and upkeep of existing facilities. Qualifications Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Knowledge and Abilities * Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with fellow employees, vendors, and contractors; * Ability to install, inspect, make repairs and maintain the electrical, plumbing and other related systems in all facility departments; * Ability to perform various clean-up and maintenance tasks as needed; * Ability to review & update inventories and other critical spare parts/ equipment as needed; * Ability to inspect, operate and maintain the HVAC system, boiler system, radiant floor and snow melt systems and understand operation of building automation system; * Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties; * Understanding of PLC & Drive operations and troubleshooting. Experience, Education, and Training High school diploma or general education degree (GED); vocational training beyond high school in one of the technical fields mentioned above preferred. 5 years' experience in general maintenance, or other related field with responsibility that would include the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures required. Physical Requirements This position requires constant standing, walking, forward reaching, pedal control, and grasping; frequent head turning, bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, handling, climbing and reaching. Candidate must be able to lift and carry 80lbs. Candidate is required to be able to stand for periods of 6-8 hours at a time. Working Environment Both indoor and outdoor working environment with exposure to varying weather conditions and chemical odors. Licensing/Certification Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work. HVAC certification required; Journeyman Electrician preferred.
