We have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician to support our locations in the Metrowest/Marlboro/Andover area. Our Maintenance Techs play a key role in keeping our bakery-cafes in top condition by addressing day-to-day maintenance issues. Traveling between assigned cafes, our Techs manage basic cosmetic and mechanical repairs in the region while working with our cafe and operations managers to help meet the highest standards. Plus, enjoy our delicious food at a discount while working!


  • Facility maintenance, including but not limited to cosmetic, plumbing, electrical, light tile work, painting, and light equipment repair

  • Maintain safety standards at all times for our associates and guests

  • Maintain an open line of communication with caf managers

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

  • Daily travel within assigned region (company truck provided)


  • General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, basic carpentry, and light electrical

  • Three to five years maintenance experience preferred

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time

  • Repeated walking, bending, stretching and occasional lifting of material/equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds

  • Able to clearly communicate with caf managers, DMs, and supervisor

  • Able to work a varied schedule

Job Summary Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs all conveyor, sortation and related material handling equipment; heating; HVAC, plumbing and/or other specialized areas to ensure proper, safe and efficient mechanical/electrical operations within the Distribution Center. Installs new or modifies existing equipment or systems, and as necessary designs, fabricates and installs specialized equipment. Duties and Responsibilities Major Areas of Responsibility: * Repairs and maintains machinery, mechanical and/or electrical equipment to include motors, pumps, conveyers, hydraulics, electro-mechanical control systems, power equipment, safety devices, or other specialized equipment. Examines parts and equipment to diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs or installations in accordance with established safety procedures. Inspects completed repairs or installations. * Maintains and repairs a variety of building operation systems to include plumbing, electrical, heating, refrigeration, sprinklers, etc. Inspects completed repairs. * Recommends and implements improvements to equipment, operations and procedures. Requisitions new parts and equipment. May contact vendors for service or parts. * Performs special projects or duties as assigned. * May assist or guide other maintenance associates in preventative maintenance of equipment and/or safety procedures. Job Knowledge Minimum formal education: High School diploma or equivalent plus vocational training in a related technical field. State Licensure or proven knowledge and experience in one or more areas (Electrical, Welding, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.) Two to three years experience in industrial maintenance field with demonstrated preventative maintenance experience in material handling systems. Proven proficiency in one or more of the following areas; electrical/electronics, welding/fabrication, HVAC/refrigeration, plumbing, electrohydraulics, mechanical and electrical drive systems. Willingness to work various shifts to meet business needs.
